Materials

Cylindrical container or poster board Cellophane tape Paint Paint trays or pans Paper Feather dusters

Instructions

1. Ahead of time, find a cylindrical container; if you do not have one, roll the poster board into a cylindrical shape and tape it closed. 2. Pour the paints into trays or pans. 3. When you are ready to begin, roll up a piece of paper and place it inside the cylinder. 4. Show the children how to dip the feather duster in the paint and gently shake the excess paint from the duster so the paint is not dripping. Have the children put the feather duster inside the cylinder, then twist the duster by its handle as they pull it out. Let the children repeat the process with as many colors as they choose, using a separate feather duster for each color.
