What to do

Recite the following fingerplay with the children, using fingers as the flowers popping up out of the ground.

It Must Be Spring
Two flowers pop up from the ground
And listen to the sound...
Wake up, wake up,
It's spring, it's spring.
They hear the robin sing.

Two more pop up from the ground
And listen to the sound...
Wake up, wake up,
It's spring, it's spring.
They hear the robin sing.

Two more pop up from the ground
And listen to the sound...
Wake up, wake up,
It's spring, it's spring.
They hear the robin sing.

Four more pop up from the ground
And listen to the sound...
Wake up, wake up,
It's spring, it's spring.
They hear the robin sing.

I have a pretty bunch of flowers now,
As pretty as can be.
I keep these pretty flowers,
Because they are for me!
