Invisible Paint

Materials:

Candles, the clear emergency kind (break in half to extend use)
Plain art paper and pencils
Watercolors

Instructions:

1. Help the children practice writing their names on the paper.
2. Give each child a candle to draw with. Let them know that even though they cannot see their writing now, they will be able to see it later. (The more wax they use the better). Encourage them to try writing their own names with the candle.
3. Allow the child to paint watercolors over the entire page to reveal the secret designs and shapes.
4. Hang to dry.
