cotton swabs

tape

brown, red, yellow, green, and orange tempera paint

thin paintbrushes

meat trays

white construction paper

Instructions

1. To prepare, cut out patterns of beach items (such as shells, fish, starfish,
shovels, and so on) from poster board.
2. Use a hold punch to punch evenly spaced holes around the edge of each
cutout. Attach a piece of yarn to one hole of each pattern.
3. Let children practice sewing on the cards of their choice.
