Instructions

  1. Show the children pictures of fish. Talk about fish and where they live.
  2. Sing the following song with the children to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot."
    I'm a little fishy, I can swim,
    Here is my tail, here is my fin.
    When I want to have fun with my friends,
    I wiggle my tail and jump right in!
  3. Create actions for some of the words.
  4. Encourage the children to draw pictures of fish and dictate stories about them.
  5. If possible, visit an aquarium to observe fish.

Instructions

1. Show the children a globe and encourage let them to share what they know
about it.
2. At the space center, provide paper plates for the children to make their own
"globes." Encourage them to use crayons to color the ocean and the land.
3. Let them make their globes as desired; their globes do not need to look like
accurate depictions!
