Instructions

1. Ask each parent to bring in or buy a colored milk crate for his or her child.
2. At the beginning of the year, take a photo of each child.
3. Laminate the photo and tape it to the front of each child's crate.
4. Tape a nametag to the crate, too.
5. Place the crates in a line in the hallway just outside the classroom door or in
the classroom by the door. These are the children's own "preschool lockers."
They can use them to store their coats, backpacks, and so on until it's time to
go home each day!
