Materials

digital camera

scissors

magnetic tape

magazine

whiteboard pen

magnet board

yardstick

Instructions

1. Take a close-up photo of each child.
2. After the photos are printed, cut out the children's faces from each
picture and attach a piece of magnetic tape to the back.
3. Cut out pictures of a car, a bus, and a pedestrian from a magazine. Put
magnetic tape on the back of each picture.
4. Divide the magnet board into three sections using the whiteboard pen
and yardstick.
5. At the top of each column, write: Car, Bus, and Walk.
6. Ask the children how they got to school that morning. Have them place
their pictures in the appropriate section of the graph.
7. When working with the graph, use the terms most and least and
encourage the children to talk about modes of transportation.
