Materials

10 cups (2 1/4 kg) of used coffee grounds (collect and store in a freezer until you have enough) 2 small bowls 1 small pan for water

Spoons and scoops1 large flat pan2 cups (500 ml) salt5 cups (1 1/8 kg) dry oatmeal 2 cups (500 ml) water

Instructions

1. Place the coffee grounds in the large flat pan on a low table.

2. Place the salt, oatmeal and water in separate containers around the coffee grounds.

3. Explore the materials.

4. Ask how they feel. Rough? Gritty? Dry, wet, cold?5.
