1. Before starting an activity that requires the children to get their hands messy (such as painting), squirt two or three drops of dishwashing detergent into their hands. 2. Ask them to rub it in very well, like rubbing in hand lotion. 3. When the children are finished with their project, the detergent will be under the paint or other residue on their hands. This makes removal easy, especially when they use regular hand soap.
