Instructions

1. During circle time discuss animals such as bears that become lethargic and hibernate during the cold winter months.

2. If possible, show the children a video on hibernating animals.

3. Have each child bring her favorite teddy bear from home, and supply each child with an empty box.

4. Tell the children they will be making homes for their bears to rest in for the winter.

5. Each child uses glue, fake moss and leaves to decorate their empty box and turn it into a cave.
