Materials

Butcher paper in green and a variety of bright colors scissors small paper plates glue marker

Instructions

1. Cut out stems from green butcher paper that are as tall as the tallest child in the class.

2. Cut out leaves so that every stem has two leaves.

3. Cut out flower petals from bright colored butcher paper.

4. On one leaf, write:"When I was little I could..."Write:"Now that I am bigger I can..." on the other leaf.

5. Ask each child to complete the above statements. Write their responses on their leaves.

6. Encourage the children to attach the flower petals to their paper plate and draw a face on it.

7. The child attaches the flower head to the stem and adds the leaves.
