Materials

White or brown roll or mural paper or grocery bags

scissors

tape

crayons and markers

play garden tools

cardboard rolls

Instructions

1. Place the brown or white roll paper on the floor. If using brown paper
grocery bags, cut them open and tape them together. Explain to the children
that they will be drawing an indoor garden.
2. Ask them to color plants on the paper and mark the areas with cardboard
row markers (labeled "carrots," "peas," and so on).
3. Encourage them to use the play garden tools and the garden in dramatic play.
