Instructions

1. To expose children to the concept of graphs, try a simple graphing activity for every lesson or topic you are working on.

2. Choose two or three categories relating to the topic and invite the children to choose one. For example, if the lesson is about apples, ask the children to taste two or three varieties of apples and choose their favorite.

3. Graph the results and then count each column of choices. Talk about the results. "Which apple is the favorite? How do you know?"4. This graphing technique can be adapted for a variety of experiences. It can make almost any lesson a math lesson.
