Materials

10 sheets of 9" x 12" construction paper, each a different colormasking tape75-100 objects that are different solid colors (red cup, blue crayon, black comb)bags to hold items

Instructions

1. Laminate the construction paper and tape the pieces together to form a long rectangle, using two rows of five sheets.

2. Fill the grab bags with miscellaneous items.

3. Invite the children to pull objects from the grab bags, name the colors, and place them on the correct sheets of paper in the multi-colored rectangle.

4. When all the bags are empty, help the children count the total number of objects in each color square. Record these numbers on a piece of paper.

5. Ask the children which colors have the most and least objects on their squares.
