What to do

1.This quiet activity is great for any transition time during the day.

2. Explain to the children they are to look for items that go together, such as toothbrush and toothpaste, paintbrush and can of paint, comb and hairbrush, umbrella and rain boots.

3. Give the children catalogs and magazines to look for pictures that go together.

4. Ask them to cut the pictures out and glue each separate picture on a piece of construction paper.

5. Punch a hole in the top two corners of the paper. Cut string or yarn to length. String the yarn through each hole and tie a knot.

6. Each child gets one picture to hang around his neck.

7. Have the children move around the room. When they find the item that goes with theirs, they partner up.

8. Partners move together to next activity.
