1. Set up play furniture to look like a beauty shop. Use the refrigerator as a cabinet to hold beauty supplies. Place a chair in front of the sink to make a hair washing area. Tape construction paper over the top of the stove to hide the burners and tape a small mirror on the back of it. Place a small chair in front of the stove. This is where the "customer" will sit. 2. Place a few other chairs in the area to make a waiting area for customers. Put some books on a small table next to the chairs. 3. Cut out large pictures depicting a variety of hairstyles from magazines. Tape the pictures on a wall in the area. 4. The children can take turns being hairstylists or customers.
