Materials:

cardboard
yellow and brown construction paper
black markers
scissors
pencils
clip-on clothespins



Instructions:

1. Cut out a large “Z” pattern from
cardboard.
2. Give each child a piece of yellow
construction paper. Encourage them to
trace the letter “Z” pattern on the paper
and cut it out.
3. Show the children how to rip brown
construction paper into pieces and glue
them to their letter “Z” to make giraffe
spots.
4. Encourage them to draw eyes and a
mouth on their giraffes.
5. Clip two clothespins to the bottom of
the “Z” to make the legs of the giraffe.
