Instructions
1. Explain to the children that Earth Day is a day to celebrate our earth. You can
do this activity any day of the year when you want to celebrate the earth.
2. Pre-cut a huge circle from white paper and place it on an easel. Encourage
the children to work cooperatively to paint the "earth" green and blue. Show
them a globe as an inspiration.
3. Go outside and let each child collect a rock. Make baby earth rocks! Place the
rocks on newspaper and encourage the children to paint their rocks blue.
Then they can add green spots (land).
4. Talk about how wonderful the earth is and the ways we can help keep it nice.
