Instructions

1. Teach the children the following counting rhyme.Four Little DucksFour little ducks that I once knewFat ducks, skinny ducks, they were, too.But the one little duck with a feather on her back,She ruled the others with a "Quack! Quack! Quack!"Down the river they all would go,One, two, three, four, all in a row.But the one little duck with a feather on her back,She ruled the others with a "Quack! Quack! Quack!"Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack!2. Say the rhyme several times with the children. When they can say the rhyme all the way through, give one child a feather and have her lead three other children around the room as everyone sings.

3. Sing the song several times in a week, giving each child a chance to lead the group in a merry march around the room.More to do Sensory: Create a feather chart. Divide a standard piece of paper down the middle, then lengthwise in four equal sections. On the left side of the paper, print the numerals 1 to 4, with one numeral in each square. Have the children glue the appropriate number of feathers in the square on the right side of the paper.
