Flag of any kind

White poster board cut into rectangular pieces

Construction paper in various colors

Glue

Shallow containers

Small paintbrushes

Instructions

1. Beforehand, draw the design of the flag onto a small piece of poster board for each child. Tearconstruction paper in the colors of the flag into small bits. Display a real flag where the childrencan easily see it.

2. Pour glue into shallow containers. Have the children apply glue to their poster board using abrush.

3. Ask the children to follow the design of the flag and position the pieces of construction paperon the poster board.

4. Set the flags aside for several hours to dry.
