What to do

April is National Garden Month.

Sing the following song, using the appropriate gestures.

Five Little Flowers
Five little flowers (hold up hand)
In the bright sunlight, (make a sun over head)
Watch them open in the light. (put hand over eyes)
Watch them close up (close hand into a fist)
When it is night. (make sleeping motion, head on hands)

More to do

  • Art: Make a "flower garden." Cut out pictures of flowers from seed catalogs or greeting cards. Glue the flowers to Popsicle sticks and push the stick into an upside-down egg carton to complete the garden.
