Materials

rubber fish

watercolor or tempera paints

paintbrushes

newsprint or thin paper

pictures of fish

magnifying glass

Instructions

1. Encourage children to color white fish cutouts and glue them to their paper.
Provide neon-colored fish cutouts for them to add, too.
2. After the glue has dried, demonstrate how to glue several pieces of torn blue
tissue paper on top of the fish.
3. Ask children to add a layer of glue on top of the tissue paper.
4. Allow to dry overnight and the fish will appear to be swimming in the blue
ocean.
