Instructions

1. Discuss snow with the children. Ask them if they know what snow tastes like.
Then ask them if they would like to drink snowballs.
2. Explain that they are going to make snowball shakes. Make sure they
understand that they won't be using real snow.
3. Give each child a cup. Help each child pour milk into her cup about 1/2 full.
4. Then help them spoon a round "snowball" scoop of ice cream into the milk.
5. Encourage the children to sprinkle shredded coconut or white sprinkles on
top of the ice cream.
6. While the children drink their snowballs, talk about what they think would be
fun to do in the snow.
More to do
Sand and Water Table: Use shaving cream instead of sand in the sand and water
table, sandbox, or even on the tabletops. (It's a great way to clean your tables!)
White packing foam is another fun "snow" to use.
