Materials

Several dish tubs, wading pool or other large Seaweedwaterproof container Chart paper

Instructions

1. Gather some seaweed. If possible, find different types.

2. Make an identification chart with drawings and labels of the different types of seaweed and the different parts of the plant.

3. Put different types of seaweed in the dish tubs so the children can see and feel the differences among them.

4. Place the rest of the seaweed in the wading pool for further exploration. It is fun to add seashells and rubber sea animals to the pool.
