1. Place a piece of newspaper outside in direct sunlight. Place another piece of newspaper indoors out of sunlight.
2. Observe the changes on both pieces of newspaper over the next week or so.
3. Bring the outside paper in and compare it to the indoor paper. Explain how sunlight can discolor the paper just as it discolors or tans a person's skin.
