Instructions

1. At home, collect clean
items that are usually
put in the trash. Items
could include empty
cracker boxes, a coffee
can, an empty milk jug,
a soda can, an egg carton,
etc. Because these
are from you home,
you can make sure that
they are clean "trash."
2. Talk with the children
about how careless
people do not dispose
of trash properly.
Invite them to make art
creations out of these
clean items.
3. They can make a toothpaste box train, a milk jug animal, a cracker box building, and more! Their
creations are based on your recycled materials and their limitless imaginations.
More to do
More art: Have a group of children work together to create a miniature town from clean "trash."
