1. Let the children choose a color of ribbon. Help them measure around the basket, leaving a little extra. Cut. 2. Demonstrate how to weave the ribbon in and out around one row of the holes all the way around the basket. When they reach the starting point, overlap the edges. 3. Let children continue choosing colors of ribbon and weaving each additional row of the basket. 4. To make a handle, twist two pipe cleaners together several times, leaving their ends free. 5. At each corner of the basket insert an end of a pipe cleaner. Secure it by twisting it around the edge of the basket.
