Chart paper marker music, optional

Instructions

1. Discuss words that describe body motions with the children, such as stretch, wiggle, slide, and leap.

2. Write the words on chart paper.

3. Invite the children to demonstrate each word with motions.

4. Ask the children to create a "dance" by linking several motions together, such as a stretch, a turn, and a jump. Ask them to explain what they did.

5. Encourage "soloists" to demonstrate their word dance for others to guess.
