Materials

Child-sized, various toothed craft scissors

Craft items, such as different types of paper, craft foam, and ribbon

Construction paper

Glue sticks

Instructions

1. Ask the children to choose a pair of scissors and a craft item.
2. Encourage the children to cut their craft items into strips or bits.
3. Ask the children to glue the cuttings onto construction paper to form their
own creation or collage.
More to do
Place the cuttings onto clear contact paper instead of gluing them to construction
paper to create a sun catcher. Cover the back of it with another piece of clear
contact paper. Punch a hole at the top of the paper and lace a piece of yarn
through it. Knot it and hang it near a window to enjoy.
