In the Seasons by Jackie Wright
In the fall,
In the fall,
When the wind blows the leaves
In the fall,
In the fall,
I see leaves fall from the trees.
In the winter,
In the winter,
It gets cold and it can snow.
In the winter,
In the winter,
Oh, how the snow can blow.
In the spring,
In the spring,
When the rain begins to fall
In the spring,
In the spring,
Good times are had by all.
In the summer,
In the summer,
When the sun shines so bright
In the summer,
We play outside day and night.
3. Consider creating stick puppets with images that pertain to the various
seasons and inviting the children to wave the appropriate puppets as
they recite the different verses of the poem.
Assessment
To assess the children's learning, consider the following:
l Can the children identify the seasons based on their weather?
l Can the children recite the poem?
