Instructions
1. Open each lunch bag and punch a hole about 1" from the top on either side
of the bag. (See illustration on following page.)
2. Put a notebook reinforcer on each hole. Or, place a piece of tape over the
holes and punch a hole through the tape.
3. Give each child a bag. Encourage them to use crayons, markers, and paint to
decorate their bags. They can glue ribbons to the bag.
4. After the bag is decorated, tie an 18" piece of yarn through the holes in the
bag. Then tie a longer piece of yarn to the 18" piece.
5. Go outside with the children and encourage them to run with their "kites." As
the children run, the bag will fly behind them.
6. These kites do not tear as easily as regular paper kites made by children.
