Materials

Dazzle the Dinosaur by Marcus Pfister 1 box brownie mix and ingredients

Large bowl Wooden spoon

Springform round pan Aluminum foil

Candy kisses, wrapped Buttercream frosting

Cardboard or platter 16" x 16" (40 cm x 40 cm) Knife for cutting and frosting

Instructions

1. Read the book Dazzle the Dinosaur. Tell the children you are going to make a special dinosaur like Dazzle that they can eat!2. Pour the brownie mix into a bowl, and as the children pass the bowl and stir, sing to the tune of "Do You Know the Muffin Man": Oh do you know the dinosaur, the dinosaur, the dinosaur,Oh do you know the dinosaur whose name is Chocosaurus.

3. Pour brownie mix into a foil-lined springform pan and bake. Let cool. Show the children how you can cut a round cake and rearrange the pieces into adinosaur.

4. Remove the cake from the pan and place it on the foil-covered cardboard. Let the children connect the cake pieces with frosting, then cover the entire Chocosaurus with the frosting.

5. Let each child come up and add a shiny chocolate kiss to the Chocosaurus' back, like the bony plates of a stegosaurus or Dazzle.

6. Eat and enjoy!
