Materials

Cardboard

pencil

scissors

foil

glue

markers and crayons

hole punch

yarn

Instructions

1. Draw chocolate kiss shapes onto small pieces of cardboard, one for each
child. Cut out bookmarks from cardboard, one for each child.
2. Ask the children to cut out their kiss shape and cover it with foil.
3. Encourage the children to glue the foil-covered kisses to their bookmarks. Let
them decorate the bookmarks as desired.
4. Help each child punch a hole into the top of his bookmark and string yarn
though it.
5. During book time, let each child pick two books to enjoy.
6. Pass out real chocolate kisses to the children as they read.
7. When book time is over, ask the children to mark their place in the book
with their kiss bookmark.
