Materials

  • jar
  • water
  • 4' of white bulletin board sheet paper
  • crayons

 

What to do

1. Fill the jar to the top with water.

2. Put the jar on a windowsill in bright sunshine.

3. Place the white paper on the floor below the jar.

4. Let the children observe the rainbow reflected on the paper.

5. Draw lines on the paper to capture the rainbow. Have the children color the paper as the rainbow is reflected on it.
