Materials

Yellow and black fun foam sheets

Scissors

Hole punch

Black pipe cleaners

Glue

Tongue depressors or smaller craft sticks

Googly eyes

Instructions

1. To prepare, cut a bee body for each child from the black fun foam. The body should be as longas the tongue depressor. Punch two holes on the top of each bee for the antennae. Cut a pieceof pipe cleaner for each bee long enough to poke through the holes and stand up.

2. Then, cut several yellow stripes for the bee.

3. Ask the children to weave the pipe cleaner through the holes in the foam.

4. When they are finished, have them glue the bee onto the tongue depressor, then add its eyesand stripes.More to doMore art: Create fingerprint bumblebees with a stamp pad.
