Pictures of different types of homes, including igloos

Styrofoam pieces

Masking tape

Instructions

1. Encourage the children to either sit quietly in a circle or lie down with their
heads forming the inside of a circle.
2. Start by saying, "I was just thinkin' and I think I'd like to be a ..." (Choose an
animal or moveable item the children are familiar with, such as a stapler.)
3. Invite everyone to move like the animal or object named.
4. Ask everyone to lie or sit still again and ask the next person to say, "I was just
thinkin' and I think I'd like to be a ..."
5. Repeat the process until everyone has had a chance to say what she has been
"thinkin' about."
6. When finished, everyone says, "I was just thinkin' and I'm glad to be me!"
