Instructions

1. If you have a computer, customize your own collection of dinosaurs in a
variety of colors. Use a color ink cartridge when printing to save time.
Otherwise, use colored construction paper.
2. Print the title "Colorful Dinosaurs" on a piece of tagboard.
3. Cut tagboard into 7" x 11" pieces. Using large type, print the color words that
match the colors of the dinosaurs.
4. Use a paper cutter or scissors to cut around the color words and dinosaurs so
that they are all the same size and fit nicely into the pocket chart pockets.
Laminate all for durability, and cut out.
5. Hang the pocket chart at children's eye level, and gather the children in a
circle around it. Insert the title card in the top pocket of the chart, and
distribute the colored dinosaurs to each child.
6. Place the color words in the pocket chart, leaving room for their matching
dinosaurs. Invite each child to put a dinosaur in the pocket chart next to the
correct color word.
