Instructions
1. Children love to pretend they are going places.
2. Set up chairs to look like the seats in a car. Invite the children to pretend
they are opening the car door and closing it again.
3. Encourage them to pretend to buckle themselves in and then act like
they are driving.
4. Demonstrate how to turn an imaginary steering wheel. Move your body
from side to side when turning corners.
5. Talk about all the things you see along the side of the road. Make sure
to stop at traffic lights!
6. When you get back home, remind the children to unfasten their
seatbelts and open and close their doors to get out.
7. If children are interested, pretend to go on a boat, bus, or airplane.
