Bouncing Ball

Materials

large exercise ball

Instructions

1. This is a great activity during transitions. It seems very simple, but it
works like magic!
2. When you need children to quiet down and prepare for a new activity,
wave your wand and say:
Abracadabra, alla ka zogs
All of the kids will now be dogs.
Poof!!
3. The children start barking and act like dogs.
4. Ask them to freeze!
5. Wave your wand again and have them become another animal or
object (just change the rhyme). For example, zunkeys/monkeys,
zair/chair, and so on.
6. Be sure to turn them back into children when it is time to stop!
More to do Art: Help the children make their own magic wands using empty paper
towel rolls and streamers, ribbons, paints, and glitter.
