Instructions

1. Draw or glue a simple picture of a person on a piece of chart paper.

2. Talk to the children about the parts of their bodies. Explain that the group is going to count how many of each body part they have. Provide a mirror.

3. Start by asking the children how many eyes they have, and invite the children to count "One, two."4. Next, ask the children how many noses they have, and as a group, count "One."5. Encourage the children to suggest other body parts to count, including hands, feet, legs, fingers on one hand, fingers on both hands, thumbs, toes, and so on.

6. As you count, write the number of body parts a person has on the chart and draw a line to the body part on the person picture. For example, write "2 eyes" and draw a line to the eyes on the picture.
