Materials

  1. Sensory table or large tub
  2. Birdseed
  3. Funnels, scoops, and shovels
  4. Small plastic animals
  5. Plastic scale
  6. Bowls

Instructions

  1. Fill the sensory table about one third full with birdseed. Place small plastic animals on top of the birdseed.
  2. Encourage the children to explore the birdseed using funnels, scoops, and shovels.

Instructions

1. Cut out small photos of bugs, use bug stamps, or draw pictures of bugs on
small pieces of paper.
2. Place a loop of tape on the pictures of the bugs.
3. Put the bug pictures on tray or table, tape side up.
4. Give each child a party blower. Encourage them to blow out their "tongues"
and catch bugs!
