White or manila construction paper

Scissors

Glue

Bingo markers in various colors

Large googly eyes

Instructions

What to do
1. Cut a fish shape from construction paper for each child.
2. Encourage the children to glue the bingo markers onto the fish shapes to make scales.
3. Glue a large googly eye to one side of the fish.
4. Hang to dry.

Games: Make a set of matching cards in fish shapes, marking them with numbers or letters and
corresponding pictures; glue a metal paper clip to each card and place the cards in a dry wading
pool. Make a pole from a stick, then attach a magnet to the end of the fishing line. Fish for matching
cards and collect them in a plastic bucket.
Sand and water table: Add plastic fish in different sizes and colors to the table.
Science: Maintain an aquarium in the classroom and invite the children to name the fish and care
for them.
Snack: Enjoy fish crackers when your project is finished.
