What to do
1. Fill paint trays with paint.
2. Place a bath sponge in each
paint tray.
3. Hand a piece of paper to each
child, or attach a large sheet
of paper to the wall for a
cooperative project.
4. Encourage the children to create
a painting with the bath
sponges.

Language: Encourage older
children to paint letters or their
name. Provide them with
sponges cut into alphabet shapes.
Math: Encourage younger children to create big designs or little designs, or provide them with
different size sponges to reinforce a lesson on size.
