Instructions

* Display the above materials in a large open area in the classroom.
What to Do
1. Engage the
children in a
discussion about
what a veterinarian
does or read a
book (see the list
on this page) to the
children about
veterinarians.
2. Invite a
veterinarian to
the classroom to
discuss his job.
3. Encourage the children to
role-play as the receptionist,
veterinarian, and/or pet owner.
4. Take photos during this activity.
Assessment
Consider the following:
* Do the children actively participate in the activity?
* Do the children indicate an understanding of what a veterinarian does?
