Materials

  1. Empty toilet paper tubes (two per child)
  2. Scissors
  3. Cardboard
  4. Animal skin print paper or assorted prints and colors of wrapping paper
  5. Glue

Instructions

  1. Prepare toilet paper tubes for each child as follows. Cut a slit down the length of one of the toilet paper tubes to open it. Cut a rectangle 2  1/2 " x 1  1/4 " from each side of the tube as shown in the illustration. This creates a tube with four "legs." Cut a 1"-wide ring from the second tube (this will be the head).
  2. Trace the open toilet paper tube (body) on cardboard to make a pattern. Also make a rectangle pattern 1" x 4  1/2 " to cover the ring.
