Materials

Line drawings of parts of animals: beaks, claws, tail, neck, legs, mouths, eyes

Pictures of whole animals

Glue

Cardboard pieces, 4" x 6" (10 cm x 15 cm)

Instructions

1. Make two sets of cards. The first set is made by gluing drawings of parts of animals onto the cardboard. The second set is made by gluing pictures of whole animals onto cardboard.

2. The children sit on the carpet, and you pass out the animal piece cards, one per child.

3. Place whole animal cards on a chalkboard rail or wall chart pockets.

4. Children take turns matching the animal parts with the whole animal pictures.
