Index cards magazine pictures of animals scissors glue

Instructions

1. Make pairs of animal cards by gluing pictures of animals to index cards. Pairs of cards must have the same animal but not necessarily the same picture. Write the names of the animals on the other side of the cards (without the pictures).

2. Spread the cards on the table with the names of the animals facing up.

3. Children take turns trying to match the names. If they find a match, they keep the cards.Tip: Make cards depicting other themes, such as types of toys, clothing, colors, or objects beginning with the same letter.
