Materials

4 sheets of 12" by 18" colored construction paper

vest, jacket, or hat with an animal patterned fabric

piece of fabric with an animal print

30 small beanbag animals

Instructions

1. Put out cups of paint and paper. Encourage the children to scoop spoonfuls
of paint on their paper.
2. Demonstrate how to hold a straw at one end of the paper near a small
puddle of paint and blow into the straw to move the paint around the paper.
3. As the paint spreads, colors may run together.
4. Try using the primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. Let the children
experiment to see if the colors change as they run into each other.
More to do More Art: Provide gray, black, or brown paint for children to blow and spread.
Encourage the children to make fingerprints with colorful paints to make
spring flowers.
