Brown lunch bags, one for each child
newspaper string red and orange construction paper scissors stapler glue construction paper feathersInstructions
1. Encourage children to stuff their paper lunch bags with newspaper. Then help
them tie off the bag 3" from the top and twist the bag into a small "stem."
2. Give each child a piece of red construction paper. Ask them to fold the paper
in half, trace a turkey face, and cut out two faces.
3. Ask them to staple a face onto each side of the bag top.
4. Encourage the children to trace and cut out orange feet and glue them on the
bottom of the bag.
5. Children then glue on colored tail feathers.
