Instructions

1. Draw each shape of block on construction paper, cut out, and use them as
labels for each bin. Help the children sort blocks by shape and put them into
the correct bin.
2. Encourage the children to sort the blocks by color and place them into
different-colored buckets or bins that match the blocks.
3. Ask the children to count all of the blocks.
4. After all of the children have done these steps, gather them together to build
a class fort out of blocks.
5. Take a photo of the children posing by their block fort creation and hang it
in the classroom.
